Join SVHS at the Lindsay Theater for the third film in our “Lights, Camera, History!” program series, where we join the Lindsay Theater in exploring history as it is portrayed and preserved through film.
“Spirit of ‘76” is a lesser-known, quirky film that will have you traveling back in time to the era of the American Bicentennial. The premise is that in 2176, a magnetic storm erases all recorded history, including the U.S. Constitution, so three time travelers are sent back to July 4, 1776, to retrieve the heritage, but end up in 1976's Bicentennial.
